Weekly Update - more where that came from...

JOHN KOESHALL is a missionary to Europe and its universities. Before he went across the pond, however, John pioneered Chi Alpha all over this state, including here in Stevens Point, his alma mater. His passion is undeniable and heart for students unmatched in the eyes of this particular aspiring campus missionary. John will be here THIS SUNDAY, in the morning at First Assembly in Plover (700 Hoover Ave.), and we're trying to nail down a time for him to come and speak to us. We're hoping for Sunday night, but we may need to move to a special night to accommodate him. Stay tuned, you won't want to miss a night that could change your destiny.

Last night was one of the more exciting XA evenings I've been a part of in quite some time. The only reason it was as dynamic as it was is because of prayer. So...from 6.10-6.40 every Sunday night (giving the music kids time to practice, of course) we'll be doing PRE-XA PRAYER. Nothing happens without God doing it first. Hope to see you there! (We hope to get one night a week solely designed for prayer, too, but we still need to hammer out the details. Stay tuned.)

If you're interested in being more involved in a leadership capacity, we will be starting STUDENT LEADERSHIP MEETINGS in the near future. Let me know what times work best for you.

YOUTH CONVENTION/FALL RETREAT - 28-30 October, Green Bay. A ridiculously cheap $20 gets you lodging, a fun Security t-shirt, an opportunity to serve, a great time to build community within our XA and meet other Chi Alphans from around the state, an opportunity to see teens pursue Christ (and maybe join them a little bit) and promote XA to a ton of HS juniors and seniors. For at least one of you, XA presence at youth convention is the reason why you're here. Let's make this a trend.

Happy Monday!
