Thanksgiving
Sunday, November 19, 2006
For whom will you be the representation of the crucified Christ this week?
T, Minus 3, 2, 1...
Do you now see why this night is something to be excited about!?! It'll be great to see most of you again, as you know it's tough to see everyone as much as you want to throughout the week. So, remember to bring your Bible (we have some if you'd like one), extra clothes for the flour fight, some extra moolah for Marvin's and a friend! I look forward to seeing you later.

For both the Ladies and Gents
Also, about those SALT registration forms! I know we said they were due at the beginning of December, but we recently learned that we need to work out some funding arrangements ahead of time. So, we need your registration forms by this weekend, ideally. If you can't make it to Chi Alpha this Sunday (BRENT'S COMING TO SPEAK!!) to hand it in, just let one of the leaders know and we'll work something out to get it. If you have a few questions about SALT, please look around National Chi Alpha's website. You can begin with this link: http://www.chialphamn.org/salt.htm, it's the direct link to this awesome conference. Please seriously consider going to this, Wonderfuls. It's very, very worth it.

To the polls!
Below is some great voting info. Keep in mind that although the University's offering transportation to voting locations, XA's still meeting at 6:30pm at Debot on Tuesday night for anyone who has yet to vote. If you have voted earlier in the day, you can meet us at 7:30pm at Debot (for the regularly scheduled movie night) or go with us to the polls at 6:30pm for some good ole support!

-If you have not yet registered, you can register at the poll on Election Day. Bring a photo id and inform them you are a UWSP student. They will have the student directory at each polling place and will look up your current address and register you. Bringing a bill or piece of mail with current address is not a bad idea, but not required.
*Voter Vans – There will be 5 Voter Vans circulating campus throughout the day taking students to and from the polls. Van pick
up locations are: In front of the HEC on Fourth St., In the Circle outside Knutson, On Freemont in front of Roach Hall.
The Vans are free for all and will return you to the pick up site once you vote.
*Ballot Info – Attached to this email is a sample Ballot identical to what you will see on Tuesday (make note of both sides)
-The other attachment is a comprehensive list of every race and candidate. Next to each candidate is their official campaign website that you can visit for more information about them and their platform.
Students can swing an entire election. The race for governor in Wisconsin and other issues are some of the most closely contested races in the country! Politicians never expect students to be a large part in the decision-making process… let’s prove them wrong next Tuesday, NOVEMBER 7TH by voting!
If you have any questions at all or if SGA can be of further assistance please let us know.
