Seeing that CGS is poorly attended, and that no one has come to the 4:00 section in over three weeks, I'm canning the 4:00 section.
CGS will be offered from 6 until 7 every Wednesday night.

It is amazing to see you guys again! You are a sight for sore eyes. I'm thinking about you all a lot and asking God to take especially good care of you as we get into school.
I have drawn an important conclusion about life and what happens to it in moments like these when we re-begin school. Ready? When things get more serious, they must also get funner. (Like that, Brent)? So, in honor of this, I think we should take another look at the blog posting from the 14th. Yes, it's still funny.

Chi Alpha exists to demonstrate a Christianity that is as uncheesy as possible. Uncheesy, unlike this.

A few notes...
We need to get our CGS signs up before Spring Break, as well as get more XA signs up in the public posting places. We have extras, and they don't do much good sitting at the book table. If you have office hours, take a few of each and post them in the proper areas or on your dorm lobby bulletin boards.
Speaking of CGS, it's a blast and I'm having fun in my element, but I'd love to see more of you there. Wednesdays at 4 and 6. It's more important than you think.
I've started talking to a few of you about finding time to hang out and talk with each person in XA. Let me know what times work for you.
Missionaries - We support several missionaries around the world on a monthly basis, from Duluth to Armenia. Chi Alpha itself is a missions extension, we exist to build a community of faith here on campus. That said, we need your help. If each person who calls Chi Alpha their home would donate $1 a week, we could cover our pledges for all our missionaries. Yes, I'm asking for money. No, I'm not taking a single penny of it. Yes, our money goes exactly where it is intended, to missionaries around the world. Part of developing an authentic Christian worldview is learning to live beyond ourselves. Giving to missions is a great way to start that process.
Reach the U - Information is available every week at the info table and book table in the concourse. The national office has agreed to scholarship students on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to experience one of the most powerful conferences you'll ever attend, develop leadership skills for student level-campus ministry, hang out with Chi Alphans from around the country and/or road trip with me to Springfield, Missouri, pick up a pamphlet and let me know you're interested as soon as possible, so I can contact the national office.
NO XA 19 March, for Spring Break. XA reconvenes on 26 March.
Leadership Retreat, XA Bowl-a-rama, Summer XA plans all forthcoming. I love you all. Happy Thursday!

Movie Night!
So due to the warm temps now broomball rehash will sadly not be an option so movie night will actually be movie night. Usual place: Seth's at usual time: 9:15. Movie is The Godfather. If it makes you feel any better you can throw pillows at me and Seth.
On Wednesday, at 5pm, we're planning to get together at the Wooden Spoon for some grub. Then, at 5:30, we'd like to head to the office to pray. It's a great chance for us to take a step back from our crazy worlds in the heat of the week to just ...be.
CGS is up and running and a great success in the making. It's really wonderful, guys, and definetely worth our time. Sessions are from 4-5pm or 6-7pm. So, let's see:
(CGS + prayer x laughs at dinner) / risk of bad food = AMAZINGNESS!!

IV and Chi Alpha are going to the Wooden Spoon for dinner tomorrow night. Unfortunately, Steve (the president of IV) and I cannot make it because of the concert band performance. So, if you could save your dinner for this time, that would be awesome! The plan is to meet in the Chi Alpha/IV/Student Impact office at 5pm. Go to it, then tell me about it!
